Simply check out as a "paypal guest" and use a different email address from the one linked to your paypal. On the checkout page, there is a tab to switch to prepaid giftcards. I wasn't trying to avoid anything, actually. So don't accuse me of doing so. I figured it would be easier to take physical cash, purchase a prepaid Visa card, and add the funds there.
